Postscript

Postscript uses mathematical calculations to describe typefaces instead of using pixels like the above font, this was developed by Adobe. The first version of Postscript language was released on the market in 1984. The latest version of postscript is postscript 3 which came out in 1997 and introduced better color handling, and new filte

rs which allowed for compression and decompression.
This form of electronic typeface is mostly used as page description language and in
desktop publishing areas.
